FAQ
Your moving questions, answered
Plain answers about direct moves, move codes and planning a long-distance move.
What is MOOVERS.ONE?
MOOVERS.ONE connects people moving between states with a network of highly trusted moving companies. Every move in the network is a direct move.
What is a direct move?
A direct move means your belongings travel on one truck from your old home to your new one. There are no other customers on the truck, no stops to load or unload other people's goods and no transfers on the way.
Will other customers' belongings be on my truck?
No. Shared loads are not part of our network.
What is a move code?
It is a reference that ties your route and move date together. You get it by choosing your two states and your date, and it carries into your quote request.
Can my move date be flexible?
Yes. Tick the flexible option when you choose your date. A few days of flexibility can make scheduling easier.
Which states do you cover?
All 50 states and Washington, DC.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. Dates at the end of the month and during summer fill up first.
How is an interstate move priced?
Interstate moves are generally priced by the weight or volume of your belongings and the distance, plus any extra services. Your free quote is based on your route, date and home size.
Are interstate, out-of-state and state-to-state moves the same?
Yes. All three mean a move that crosses a state line. Long-distance is a different idea, because it describes the miles and not the border. Both are explained on our state-to-state and long-distance pages.
What happens after I request a quote?
You share a few details about your move and we match you with a vetted company from our network. We then get in touch.
